Teletherapy Simulations: From Planning to Home Practice

This course will provide a demonstration of teletherapy, including setup of the virtual therapy room, planning for effective therapy, implementation of services, and carryover within the home. Through simulation of various cases, the presenters will demonstrate evidence-based strategies and tools for successful teletherapy. Attendees will leave this presentation with knowledge of how digital materials may be organized and utilized effectively during therapy sessions. In addition, the presenters will provide solutions to common obstacles that may arise with teletherapy.

  • Amy Ganser

    MS, CCC-SLP

    Amy Ganser, M.S., CCC-SLP is a CA licensed Speech Language Pathologist with an M.S. degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Chapman University and a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from CSU Fullerton. When Covid-19 began, Amy jumped into the world of teletherapy and learned how to effectively deliver speech and language services to children with a wide range of abilities and diagnoses. For the past two years, Amy has been the SLP for her school district’s virtual academy, an educational option for K-12th grade students. Amy also contracts with a hospital where she continues to grow her skills in the medical setting.

  • Robyn Raye

    MA, CCC-SLP

    Robyn Raye, M.A., CCC-SLP is a multi-state (CA, GA, FL, ME, NJ, SC, WA, WY) licensed speech-language pathologist with extensive clinical experience ranging from private practice, home-based services, school-based services, and teletherapy. She received her undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Delaware and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Kean University. Over her nearly 20 years in the field, Robyn has had the opportunity to diagnose and treat diverse populations, with a primary focus on school-aged articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, and language disorders. Since 2017, she has implemented teletherapy as a preferred mode of service delivery. As she creates teletherapy friendly materials, they are shared via her “At Home Speech” stores on Teachers Pay Teachers and BoomCards.
