This is an introductory course that will provide you with valuable information about the benefits of co-teaching for SLPs, teachers, and students. It is a great starting point if you have never co-taught, aren’t sure where to start, or are curious about how to incorporate it into your practice. Even if you are already using co-teaching in your practice, this course will provide you with fresh examples and routines that you can try with your students right away. During the course, you will be provided with several tried and true ideas and examples on ways to co-teach in a preschool setting, general education setting, special education setting, as well as strategies for working with upper grade levels.

    Ashley is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist who lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. She has worked as a SLP in the Arizona schools for 5 years with the K-8th general education and self-contained population. Ashley received her Master of Science from Midwestern University in Arizona, where she was one of three students voted on by her professors to receive the Clinical Excellence Award. She attended undergraduate school at Florida State University where she participated in the communication sciences and disorders study abroad program in London, UK. Her passion for being a speech-language pathologist largely comes from her older brother who has Autism. Ashley is a member of ASHA and has received the ACE award for continuing education. She is actively involved in a non-profit organization called Project 34 that provides equipment and services to people with spinal cord injuries.
