Considerations and Strategies for Successfully Mentoring a Clinical Fellow

Considerations and Strategies for Successfully Mentoring a Clinical Fellow

For many SLPs, working with a Clinical Fellow is new territory and they often lack a clear understanding of the role they play as the CF’s supervisor. In addition, as a recent college graduate, Clinical Fellows lack the experience to know what to expect of their supervisor. This dynamic can create challenges related to unknown and unmet expectations. This session addresses ASHA expectations for supervision of a clinical fellow including required documentation and identifies supervision challenges with some practical solutions.
